Mast Joins ‘Climate Solutions Caucus’

Florida Congressman Brian Mast is among the newest members of the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, joining other Republicans and Democrats from Southeast Florida.

The 20-member caucus, co-chaired by Florida Republican Carlos Curbelo and Democrat Ted Deutch, also includes Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. A news release from the caucus said Mast, who was elected in November to replace former U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy in a Treasure Coast district, is one of five new members from across the country.

“We have a lot of work to do on this issue, and communities like mine in South Florida are counting on us to come together and have productive discussions about what we can do to mitigate the effects of climate change and make our nation more resilient,” Curbelo said in a prepared statement.
