Canady Might Not Make Trump’s Supreme Court Short List

President Donald Trump is expected next week to name a nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, but his short list might not include Florida Supreme Court Justice Charles Canady, according to a Washington Post story.

Canady had earlier been included on a long list of potential candidates for the seat left vacant last year by the death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. But the Post reported that Trump is considering a handful of federal appellate judges for the nomination.
