Dara Kam is The News Service of Florida’s senior writer, which means she’s been around for a minute. While she’s given up on the fishnets, Dara has not recovered from her addiction to dark glasses (just ask former House Speaker Alan Bense). Dara’s the editor of the blog, which she thinks gives her license to share not only fact-based tidbits, but also to weigh in now and then with insights into what’s going on in front of, behind, or beside the scenes. She begs you to inform her, however, if she ever succumbs to that widespread malady that contaminates so many of the players in Tallahassee, a cunning contagion she calls “OSOS,” or “over-inflated sense of self.”
Dara worked for The Palm Beach Post for almost a decade before joining the News Service four years ago. Prior to her stint as a Postie, she worked for Gannett, The Associated Press and the New York Times Regional Newspapers.
